There is no shortage of people thinking about popping the question over the next few months. In fact, the holiday season is far and away the most popular time of the year to get engaged – even more popular than Valentine’s Day!A recent study by Chillisauce found out some very interesting information about marriage proposals.
WHEN IS THE BEST DAY OF THE YEAR TO PROPOSE?
The study found that Christmas Eve was the most popular day to propose, closely followed by Valentine’s Day. Christmas Day and New Years were also popular days. If you add it up, 53% of the best days to propose occur during the holidays.
WHEN HE/SHE THINKS IS THE BEST TIME TO PROPOSE?
Looking at this question from a gender perspective, the study found that women prefer to be proposed to on Valentine’s Day (22%) and the Anniversary of the day they met (20%). Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were third and fourth best.“Nearly a quarter of the men quizzed (24 per cent) think Christmas Eve is the best time to do the deed, whereas 22 percent of women actually want their man to put a ring on it on Valentine’s Day,” the study found.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD PROPOSAL?
Pay attention guys, the answer to this question will provide you with some great insights into how you should propose. The study found that a simple, “Will you marry me?” is far and away the best way to propose, says 51% of women polled. Note that only 11% want an extravagant proposal.
